Brian Knobbs Biography and Career:

Brian Yandrisovitz, better known by his ring name Brian Knobbs, is an American professional wrestler born on May 6, 1964. He is most known for his time spent as a member of the tag team The Nasty Boys with his partner Jerry Sags. Knobbs started his professional wrestling career with the American Wrestling Association in 1986, going under the ring as “the Masked Terrorist.” The year after that, in 1986, he and his partner Jerry Sags established a tag team that they dubbed The Nasty Boys and competed in Memphis, Tennessee, until they went to Florida Championship Wrestling, where they won five tag team championships between the years 1988 and 1990.

In 1990, the duo relocated to the Jim Crockett Promotions of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), which had been acquired by Ted Turner and renamed World Championship Wrestling (WCW) before The Nasty Boys departed a few months later. World Championship Wrestling was known as WCW before The Nasty Boys left. They engaged Rick and Scott Steiner in a fight for the WCW United States Tag Team Championship, but they could not prevail over their opponents. In the latter part of that year, they moved to the World Wrestling Federation, where Jimmy Hart was their manager.

They had a rivalry with the Legion of Doom, to which they eventually lost the championship, although they had previously won the World Tag Team Championship from The Hart Foundation. Before turning face in 1992 to rival Hart’s Money Inc. over the tag team championship, the Nasty Boys battled several of the best face teams in the WWF, including The Rockers, The Bushwhackers, and High Energy. However, they could not recapture the title after losing it to Hart’s Money Inc.

After that, in 1993, they parted ways with the WWF and joined the WCW, where they were assigned manager Missy Hyatt, who eventually helped them win the WCW World Tag Team Championship. They had a dispute with Harlem Heat, The Blue Bloods, and the duo of Dick Slater and Bunkhouse Buck when Hyatt resigned as their manager. They successfully reclaimed the tag team championship in 1993, but Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan won the match and took the title away from them the following year.

At the Slamboree held in St. Petersburg, Florida, in May 1995, they beat Harlem Heat to win their third and final WCW tag championship. However, in June, they lost the title to Harlem Heat in an edition of WCW World Wide. In 1996, they were duped into believing they would become members of the nWo by organization; nevertheless, as soon as they got their shirts, they were assaulted. Sags had been hurt in the past in a shooting incident with Scott Hall, and as a direct consequence of his injuries, he was compelled to withdraw from the game.

After Sags’ retirement, Knobbs departed WCW. They began his career as a singles wrestler, engaging in a rivalry with Norman Smiley and ultimately prevailing over Bam Bam Bigelow at SuperBrawl at the Cow Palace in 2000. After that, he was victorious thrice in the WCW Hardcore Championship. He initially fell behind all three members of the boy band stable 3 Count in the competition for the belt, but he eventually won it back from them.

During a short period, Fit Finlay served as his manager as the Hardcore Soldiers with his partner, The Dog. In addition, Knobbs appeared in an episode of Jimmy Hart’s The First Family. After leaving WCW, Knobbs went back to wrestling and competed in a match at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia on June 16, 2007, which was part of the Pro Wrestling Unplugged event. On November 20, 2007, Knobbs and Sags reassembled as The Nasty Boys and wrestled their first WWE bout in years during a dark match during the SmackDown! Tapings in Tampa, Florida. This was their first time competing as a tag team in WWE.

The competition failed, and the team was accused of acting unprofessionally by working stiffly with their competitors, Dave Taylor and Drew McIntyre. According to the accounts, the contest was a disaster. The victorious team was Knobbs and Saggs. The Nasty Boys began their rivalry with Team 3D on the January 4, 2010, episode of TNA Impact!, broadcast on the television network owned and operated by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).On the outbreak of Impact! that aired on January 21, they made their debut for TNA and won their first bout by beating the tag team of Eric Young and Kevin Nash.

The Nasty Boys won their tag team bout against Team 3D at Against All Odds, which took place in Orlando, Florida. During the event, Jimmy Hart returned to the organization and interfered in favor of the Nasty Boys. The Nasty Boys went on to win the match. Jesse Neal’s interference in a tables match between Team 3D and the Nasty Boys on the episode of Impact! that aired on February 25, 2010, led to Team 3D’s victory over the Nasty Boys.

The Nasty Boys and Hart resumed their rivalry with Team 3D by winning a six-man tag battle against Team 3D and the returning Brother Runt. Brother Runt was brought in as a substitute for Jesse Neal, whom The Nasty Boys had assaulted earlier in the match. Following the contest’s conclusion, Neal launched an assault on The Nastys and assisted Team 3D in throwing Sags through a table.

After an altercation at a TNA event on March 29, 2010, during which Spike officials were in attendance, The Nasty Boys were let go by the promotion. Fellow wrestler New Jack supposedly knocked Knobbs in a fight in February 2012. The battle took place between Knobbs and New Jack. Knobbs has married Greg Valentine’s wife’s sister since January 1994. Knobbs’s wife is the sister of Greg Valentine’s wife. The couple currently has one kid together.Hulk Hogan and Knobbs have a solid friendship.

In 2019, Knobbs required surgery on one of his knees and was sent to the hospital because he got a blood infection. Fans contributed money to a GoFundMe campaign to cover his medical expenses. On August 10, 2021, he was once again admitted to the hospital for various health problems, and a new GoFundMe page was established to raise money for his medical needs. Knobbs has worked as an on-screen trainer for Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling and Hulk Hogan’s Micro Championship Wrestling, in addition to appearing in several episodes of Hogan Knows Best and Brooke Knows Best. Knobbs has also made guest appearances on Hogan Knows Best.

Knobbs carried out a “Pit Stop” on Raymond, the mascot of the Tampa Bay Rays, during the 2009 season of Major League Baseball. Knobbs represents the Tampa Bay Rays as their “10th Man” in the clubhouse. In 1999, he also participated as a panelist on the Nickelodeon children’s game program Figure It Out: Wild Style, where he was slimed during his appearance. During the 1980s and 1990s, a renowned tag-team known as “The Nasty Boys” was active. The Nasty Boys, consisting of Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags, were successful in various tag-team competitions and won many championships.

Because they were so effective as heels, had a good amount of charm, and were skilled in the tag-team genre, they could remain in the industry for a considerable time. In addition to all of those admirable characteristics, Knobbs and Sags were well-known for being infamous mischief-makers. According to the reports, the two were highly skilled at getting under the skin of their co-workers and often got into conflicts behind the scenes.

A long time ago, Knobbs and Sags were fighting with Ken Shamrock, a skilled mixed martial artist who was on his way to becoming the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion. After knocking Shamrock unconscious inside the hotel, the Nasty Boys intended to toss him from the balcony, but other wrestlers stepped in just in time to prevent this from happening. Ric Flair confronted Brian Knobbs in a bar brawl in a separate incident. Knobbs fought back.

In the early 1990s, Ric Flair appeared in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) brand of professional wrestling. After a significant amount of time spent in NWA, Flair made the transition. Even though he was not a native-born performer, Vince McMahon regarded him as one of the most important members of the organization when he reached that stage in his career. He was not entirely on the same level as Hulk Hogan but was a significant star. Ric Flair said in his autobiography “To Be the Man” that World Wrestling Entertainment was a vastly different environment from what he was used to.

Flair was able to have a significant degree of influence on the outcomes of his bouts at the companies for which he had performed. After all, he was famous for competing in lengthier episodes, but the length of his fights in WWE was determined mainly by Vince McMahon and Pat Patterson, his booker. Ric Flair was irritated by the shorter bouts. In this passage, the Nature Boy also took a dig at Hulk Hogan by declaring that it was reasonable that the business kept the fights short for Hulk Hogan since nobody wanted to watch Hulk Hogan wrestle for a lengthy match, describing the concept as nasty. Ric Flair was upset by the more straightforward games, and in this paragraph, the Nature Boy also took a jab at Hulk Hogan.

Following a concert in Manhattan, Ric Flair headed directly to the bar, where the Nasty Boys and Vince McMahon himself eventually joined him. Flair also brought over a close buddy, whom he described as Robby, a senior executive of a prominent toy manufacturing firm. Robby was there for the match. In a short time, everyone in the group became intoxicated, and the Nasty Boys immediately began to pick on Robby.

Knobbs and Sags were two of the most “fun-loving” people in the world, but Flair confessed in his book that they were also adept at getting under other people’s skin, and once they did, they did not let up. Flair made this admission even thoKnobbs and Sags are the most “fun-loving” people on the planet. Robby, who was entirely out of his mind due to his excessive drinking, began to cut a wrestling promo inside the bar, and in retaliation, the Nasty Boys stepped on his sunglasses and tore up his suit. Because of this, Ric Flair was compelled to intervene and told Brian Knobbs to leave his buddy alone. After Flair’s reaction, which consisted of Knobbs throwing the F-bomb at him, the Nature Boy slapped Knobbs across the face.
