Keith Lionel Urban AO is an Australian-American musician, singer, guitarist, and songwriter who is most recognized for his contributions to the country music genre. He was born on October 26, 1967. He made an appearance on the compilation album “Breaking Ground: New Horizons in Country Music,” which was released in 1990 and was up for an ARIA Award in the category of “Best Country Album” in 1991. Between the years 1993 and 1994, he went on tour as Slim Dusty’s supporting act. In the middle of the 1990s, both of these artists collaborated on a reimagined version of Dusty’s timeless classic “Lights on the Hill.”

The Grand Ole Opry was Urban’s debut performance, and he did it while Dusty was performing.  Moreover, he contributed backing vocals to the song “Shining Star” by INXS, which was released in 1991.
