Odell Beckham Jr. Biography and Career:

Odell Cornelious Beckham Jr. was born on November 5, 1992, and is now a free agent in the sport of American football. He is generally known by his initials, OBJ, which stands for Odell Cornelious Beckham Jr. Beckham is a football player who was picked by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Beckham was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and played college football at LSU. In his first year as a player at LSU, Beckham was a starter in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game, and he was awarded the Paul Hornung Award following the conclusion of his junior season in 2013. Despite suffering an injury that forced him to sit out the first four games of the season, Beckham was able to set a number of receiving records for rookies in the NFL during his debut season with the New York Giants.

Beckham surpassed the record for the highest average receiving yards per game for a rookie while also being the first player in NFL history to collect more than 75 receptions, 1,100 yards, and ten touchdowns in a single rookie season. During Week 12 of his first season, Beckham came to the attention of the general public when he made a one-handed touchdown catch while falling backwards in a Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.  This play has been hailed as the best catch in the history of the sport by a variety of sports pundits and athletes.  Beckham was named Offensive Rookie of the Year for his outstanding performance in 2014.

In 2016, he set a record for being the quickest player in the history of the NFL to reach both the milestone of 200 career receptions and 4,000 career receiving yards. After leading the Giants to an 11–5 record in the regular season, he accomplished two career milestones in 2016: he had his first season with 100 receptions and he participated in the NFL playoffs for the first time in his career. Beckham has been selected for the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons and has been named to the All-Pro second team on two separate occasions. In the middle of the 2021 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams made the decision to sign Beckham after he had previously played for the Cleveland Browns. Beckham helped lead the Rams to victory in Super Bowl LVI, which they went on to claim.
